73 wiring harness in 74 thing

I have a new 73 thing wiring harness and a 74 thing. Do I need a complete 73 steering column with wiper switch, turnsignal switch, ignition switch...etc to make this harness work? What else would be different between the two years?

My steering column is missing the ignition switch and probably needs at least a turn signal switch....also the column shaft is slightly bent.

I can't think of a single thing (no pun) that would be different between them.
