indicators funtioning irratic

hie guys, i recently got a short cercuit in the steering coloum fixed at a wireman. he removed the steering wheel and set the earthing propelly. the only thing is now the indicators have a lack of contact. when the level is pushed fully down the left indicators dont work but when i push it halfway the indicators funtion. the right hand side is ok. im reli blurr about what to do. pls help me out. take care, dev

You didn't say what year car this is, but the plastic parts in the turn switches often break quite easily (due to age). It is very possible that the switch has become damaged.

hi, my car is a 1971. i too think that the switch has broken. sadly i had it replaced only a year ago.

well, i guess i have to sink more money into the car then...take care, dev
