I celebrated 4/12 by taking my '74 wagon on the longest trip it's been on for several years (well, it was just about 40 miles one way) and maintained a steady 140 kph on the Autobahn

Wow - it's nice to know some people are as sentimental as me...every year on April 11 I drive my 411, and of course the day after I drive my 412! And this year was special, because I just got (yet) another 412 and I went to the license place to register it on April 12th. It is my 5th type four, and the check I wrote to the DMV was dated 4-12-05. Destiny? Coincidence? Ultimate proof of the existence of God? I tell you, these "rare" and "unloved" cars have a lot more going for them than meets the eye. To say nothing of their human owners!
I wonder what Porsche drivers do on September 11th and 14th? And would we 411/412 owners feel different about our cars if 9/11 had happened instead on 4/11?
