Guest postings needs IP address

I don't think "Guest" postings should be anonymous.

Don't be silly. Guest postings shouldn't be allowed, period. IP addresses are worthless unless you have something to compare them against, or just want to know what general location someone is in.

That is one way to reduce the anonymous-ness of postings. For the tech savvy this wouldn't be a hard thing to bypass.

Some people can't figure out how to login, or use more than one computer a day. Anonymous is not evil by itself.

Judge the post by content, not by location.

i often judge by the poster. something that can't be done with guest logins. a username and a password is not a very difficult thing to manage
