Hi

My mate Leigh http://www.clubvw.org.au/leigh_harris.htm has done some testing on his water/air intercooler using some permanent temp senders.

He fitted a probe into his airfilter and one above the injector in the inlet manifold. After some testing he has found that he is only getting a 10° Celsius rise in temperature which shows how efficient the water/air intercooler is.

What type of W-A intercooler did he use? Subary Liberty? I am planning on making my own out of a small ait to air core like is shown on Autospeed.com 's site.

Hi
His is custom made using an A/C core. He is also using a pretty highly rated water pump to keep it all flowing, I can get specs if you are interested. He is using a small motor cycle radaitor with a fan behind the rear wheel and a heater core at the front mounted on the axle beam. That Autospeed sight has some good stuff on it.

Of course autospeed rocks, it is from NSW! Image Just like Aero guards, Steve Irwin, and Fosters.
