New WBX.. a few pics

Post by Danborn »

I just can’t resist posting a few pics! It will hope fully be up and running tomorrow…

It is a 2.1 fully balanced, W120 cam, type-1 lifters, 10.5 comp, homemade plenum, Audi A4 throttle body, A4 injectors, (Bosch 0 280 150 447) Megasquirt injection… Can’t wait to fire it up!

Well Done Jesper!

Look extremely interesting as very few people put wbxs on beetles and very very few dare to tune them!

Good luck

What did you do for an exhaust?
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

It is the system from my old WBX which is a 1 ½” modified with a wbx pipe under the water pump, it is only temporary because it is too small.. I have a 1 5/8" merged collector that I’ll have to modify first…

How does the plenum look on the inside? Velocity stacks?

Yes there is velocity stacks inside, unforntunally I don’t have any pics that shows them..
I needed some parts so I haven’t started it yet! However, today I’ll give it a try, I will post more pics and a complete story when I get it running…
