unplanned modification (apron removal)

My car was backed into a tree (not slowly either) before I got it. The two times I R&R the engine it took a long time. I had to remove almost all the tin just to get it in or out. I scraped and dented a lot of tin and knuckles! When I my dad and my friend heard this they both said to remove the apron. I am putting it back on but with bolts not spot welds!

I'm not going to scratch my new engine!!!!!!!!
