clock/heater timer

hi I am interested in picking up one of the clock/heater timers for the 412. I am checking into one but the asking price of 170.00 seems a bit high, how rare and hard to find are they? and has anyone here have one and used it. is it worth having or just novelty? any feedback is welcome.
