Its good that you bring this up Albert. Are you speaking of actual spring coil spacers.....those rubber parts that are inserted between coils to bolster a sagging spring?........or are you speaking of the rubber spring "perch"....that goes at the top of the coil between the body and spring?
The spring perch above the spring actually came in a couple of varieties. There were thick ones with shaped cut-outs for the end of the coil to set into....and they wer for the coils whose end was left round. There were also ones made for the coils whose loose end was ground flat. There were different thicknesses. In a nut shell...you had sedans and wagons with flat and round in each. I believe the wagons were the thicker ones. Ray

yes ,it is for the rear spring spacer ,,, wend i take possession of my 412 ,last year , the guy before me, he do the installation in the 3 botthom last spring spear a kind of ,,,U,,,, steel clamp spacer for coil spring , that geeve apppx. 2" more hight on the rear , but i thing my shock d,t work 100% with that spacer ,, yes for the hight spead ( autoroute)that geeve me good performance but in the street hole (big hole only )the suspention go on the bump stopper ,, and i thing it is more hard for the front suspention ,, my front strut are good ,, original of the car 90kmil. no oil leak and firm ,, my question is , if i remoove this spacer and if i replace my rear chock by kyb gr2 , i can have betther suspention , for city ride ,, i know many guy try the 5406 and are satisfied , but i look on the nissan pat finder king cab 4 cylinder , and he have same model kybgr2gaz , same hook ,,and i thing , i suppose , the weight on the nissan front 4 cyl. (not the 6) , is appx the same thing on the 412 rear , at your oppignion what model can make betther job ,, the nissan model ( i d,t have the kyb p/ no.for this nissan ) or the 5406,,, big question ??? thanks for your help,,,albert

Be very careful with that type of spacer. Those can damage the spring by creating a stress bend. Generally the rear springs do not sag very much with age on this vehicle. It is typically 10% on average. Usually it is a combination of poor camber on the rear..which drops the rear by 1/2" or more....and bad shocks...or worn out upper spring perch pads. Ray
