Which Thing is it?

Hotvw's Jan 2006. pg 83. There is a blue Thing mudding in belgium. Article is on a germany show. Can anyone tell me the type this car is? Is a one-off custom or what.

I think it might be a Porsche designed for the military but never used. If I can find the picture of it I will post.

I can't find the web site that has more Porsche built military vehicles. There are a few that the U.S Army were testing in the 50's and 60's.
