Hey I wonder if a T3 wagen one would work?? Does Mid america or someone have those? Maybe they could give you the dimensions? I wonder if you could find a radiator hose with the flexy(ribbed) part that you could use? They make so many different ones of those!! I think the dip stick little booty will work from a t3??? bill

In fact I found a Type 3 oil boot on ebay - the picture of it looks exactly like the Type 4. So I ordered it! I had an idea about looking towards the T3 because the T3 gas tank filler collar rubber fits the T4 perfectly. I'll have it here in about a week, so hopefully it will work out.
