RoMTOC (Rocky Mountain Thing Owner’s Club) www.romtoc.com in conjunction with OE VeeDubs (Lake George, Colorado http://www.oeveedub.com, Heuberger VW Motors http://www.heubergervolkswagen.com/en_US/, The Colorado VW Bus Club www.coloradovwbusclub.com is proud to announce that the weekend of August 4 – August 6, 2006 we will be reactivating the Pikes Peak Classic 2006. We will all meet in Lake George, Colorado at OE VeeDubs on August 4 for an evening of fun to kick off the reintroduction of the Pikes Peak Classic. There will be camping available along with a number of local hotels for those who are not the camping type. We will have a VW show at OE VEE Dub on Saturday August 5, 2006 that will include a Bar-B-Que and will culminate with a Treffen to the top of Pikes Peak. RoMTOC will be featuring our TDTA (Thing Door Throughout America) door at the top of Pikes Peak. RoMTOC will also sponsor a number of special Thing categories as part of the VW car show. Then on Sunday morning August 6th we will all treffen up to Bandimere for the largest All-Volkswagen meet in the Rocky Mountain region. The 22nd annual NuVintage Bug-In is designed for all VW, Porsche, and Audi enthusiasts as they participate in a variety of fun activities, showcasing awesome show classes that range from shined-up daily drivers to rare classics. Naturally the TDTA door will travel up to Bandimere via the Best of Show Thing where it will be transferred to a fellow TDTA traveler from either Utah or Wyoming. This is going to be one of the premiere VW Thing events of the season. It is my dream that many of you will make plans now and mark your calendars for this awesome event.
