I left my bug unused for 2 weeks and the battery stayed 100% full charged at 12.66V after 7 days and only dropped to 12.65V at the 14th day--AFTER I have installed an earth line cut-off switch between the battery and the negative/earth wire.
(Have not trace my earlier 40 milliamp leakage), before the cut-off switch was installed the charged battery voltage dropped from full charge 12.66v to 12.5v within 8 hours and 12.4v within 24 hours--although it does not make sense with just 40 milliamp leakage--this is one part that I can't explain!

Re: Installed earth cut-off switch beside battery
I got this Hella switch for $10 and it is mounted under the rear seat holder steel bar/bracket improvised with a half-cut door hinge and within easy reach from the driver seat to turn it off/on.
