How many tranny reverse light connection tag?
How many reverse light electrical tag connection are there at the rear of the tranny? I can only see one connecting tag although there are two crimped connector on two wires going to the reverse lamp (currently not plug-in). Can I simply join the two wires and connect them into the single tag?

The backup light switch has 2 terminals. Power from Term 15 on the coil goes into one (doesn't matter which) through an inline fuse. The other terminal has a single wire coming from it which runs back to a spot above #1 cylinder where it goes into an insulated "Y" (1-into-2) block; the wires under the tarboard going to each taillight assembly plug in there.

In my case, it can be confirmed that one of the terminal has broken off--is it easy to replace the switch assembly, I mean simply unscrew it out and replace it with a new one or do I have to remove the tranny and engine to do it?

Just screw it out and screw in a new one, make sure you use the gasket or oil may leak out

I manage to take out the reverse switch and the pins are intact but upon checking the contact with a multimeter it didn't work (no contact) when the button is pushed but got it to work again by soaking it in electrical contact cleaner.
It is actually an ordinary push button contact switch that connect 12+ to the reverse lamp when the the reverse gear is engaged.
