Any good welding store should carry an anti-fogging chamical. I've tried it and it works OK.

Get some cheaters for your welding helmet. They make .100 to .300 magnifiers and anything in between to fit your needs.
And yes old age does suck, I have to use a .300 magnifier in one helmet and a .250 in the other. These are just like those reading glass you buy at the drug stores, and your local welding supplier should beable to find the right brackets to fit your helmet for the lense.

Tinnerdude1, good catch, I missed that part of the post.
I do the same thing but I don't recommend half glasses (reading glasses which end up being the same thing as bi-/tri-focal glasses) rather than normal full vision glasses. You don't want to walk around with the close up glasses and the welding helmet on either on as you will bump into things but you need to have the full range vision with them. I keep several pair of glasses, in different focal ranges, in the garage located at different strategic locations. Yeah, getting old is rough at times.

Local Air Gas did not have any of the antifog spray.
I did discover if I put the helmet out in the sun to warm it up it does cut down on the fog. I guess I have to get a pair of cheeters.

There are many things you can do but you need to be careful with some of them. The outgasing/fumes the can have can be not too good for as you are breathing them all the time your helmet is closed. Painters may have it right and use a breather mask and remote filter system which could fix most of the problem to start with. No warm breath on the glass, no fog up.
