Ok I'm looking at mounting my 36-1 wheel and just want to make sure I have the right idea when I do it. From what I've read with the pulley at TDC and if I mount the VRS right at the case line it should look like the first picture on the left and or as the picture on the right shows still with the pulley at TDC but I move the VRS 30deg the 36-1 wheel will move 30deg as well. As long as the VRS and the missing tooth are at 90deg, is that right.
John
I set the pulley for TDC and put the skipped tooth 90 degrees after the sensor.
Looking at my pic though... I might not have the toothed wheel set here yet.
After you set the wheel just start the engine without the computer on and just have power to the module and the coil.
Take a timing light and check to make sure that you are exactly at 10 degrees BTDC and you are good to go. If not... adjust your toothed wheel until you get the 10 degrees BTDC.
can someone PLEASE tell me where I can find one of these for sale online? I have searched and searched and all I can find are those stupid newer 20 dollar 36-1 ford trigger wheels. thank you

You can buy the entire harmonic balancer for a mid 90s escort and pull the wheel off. Ebay, rockauto, Ford dealer etc..
I did the same thing, not as elegant but definitely works. When I did my MS-2 conversion a few years back using the EDIS-4 system made the ignition portion of the project SUPER easy!
