They are from a GSXR bike, and have 40mm ID.
The engine goes into a T1 Ghia, yes

Yes, and I have the injectors that came with the TBs, so I will dig into that option a little bit alsominiman82 wrote:That's what I was gonna say, don't the TB's have a spot for injectors already?

OK, I'm finding GSXR TBs from a variety of sized Suzi engines. I'm building for a 2110. What am I looking for in a TB?

They will all require about the same amount of modifications to make them fit so then you need to decide what size TB's you want. I have 38mm's on my 1971cc motor and love them, but they are a 2 yr only size. any of the 06-present 600 (I think 750cc's too) TB's are 40mm. The liter bikes have 42mm TB's, but you will run into a weaker vacuum signal with those(drivability issues).
I know I mention this...a lot . 44 IDF's only have 36mm venturis plus all that crap in the middle. I wish I had a rig to compare flow between different manifolds, carbs, and TB's. With a street car bigger TB's isn't better.

Re: Another ITB build thread
This thread lists a bunch of different TBs and their sizes.

I'm looking for a power band that ends around 5500, so I'm probably looking for something sub 40.
OK, sorry for the high-jack.

Also look for units that have 4 individual TB's ... There are two versions one is 4x1 another is 2x2 where two TB are cast solidly together....
This is pic of 4X1.... IT's off a 2001-02 GSXR 1000 and has 42mm bore...

Re: Another ITB build thread
I got a set of 01-03 600 TB's sitting here. Ya they can be separated and fairly easily mounted on IDF's manifold but I don't like their basic design. The 600 ones have no idle bypass circuit, that's going to make it a complete biatch to synch. They are also have a straight bore instead of a tapered bore like the later ones got. The injectors are a weird design too.

OK, so the gsxr 600 unit looks like it's really four castings. And 38mm.

I don't have any experience with CBR stuff, what's wrong with these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-07-Suzuki-GS ... 3f0f7ebcfc

Re: Another ITB build thread
Huh. So that looks like two castings, not four.
I would take Grelland's approach of shaving down some IDF manifolds to get the right spacing.

Re: Another ITB build thread
Suzuki went to twin castings on 03 for the 1000cc motors and 04 for the 600/750's. I prefer the twins, they are a more developed TB.
if you can do what Grelland is doing then go for the twins. His way will work but I think it will be a lot easier just to get a 40mm (1 9/16") hole saw and some 3/8" plate stock off ebay ($11 for 2ft off ebay) and make a weld plate. I'm going to start working on mine hopefully this weekend. I got very similar inj bungs from ross machine for cheap (real nice quality too).
