36-1 Trigger Wheel for upright converted Type 4
Last time when i converted my speedster to EFI I bought a generic trigger wheel from eBay and had a local engineering shop modify it to fit onto the Type 4 crank hub and also remove the thickness of the trigger wheel from the back of the pulley. No one offered an easy bolt-on solution.
This time (2270 Raby engine kit for my 64 bus) I decided to design and have machined a 36-1 wheel to bolt onto the crank hub and be thin enough to sit behind the DTM pulley without needing any machining. Its the same outer diameter as the one i've been running on the speedster for 5 years but with chamfered teeth to match the angle of the sensor. The trigger wheel and sensor become almost invisible insitu.
The teeth are 5mm thick; thickness of the wheel at the hub is 2mm; its 115mm diameter.
Due to the cost of making just the 2 I wanted myself , I've had 20 of these made up which made the per unit cost more reasonable, with the aim of selling the remainder on to fellow enthusiasts. Any interest out there?

I am going to angle cut the teeth on my pulley just like that, for the same reason. Looks nice.

Thanks.
I've sold a handful but still have a number more if anyone is thinking of fuel injecting an upright Type4.

The hub in the center looks like it might cause some issues. Type 1 is also lacking the bolt on style pulley that t4 uses. You would have to drill and tap your stock pulley, as well as machine out the center hub, you might as well buy Electromotive's kit(if they'll sell it to you, they wouldn't sell it to me...) or copy what they have done.Dale M. wrote:Could someone bolt it to a type 1 pulley....

FAT sells a 60-2 setup for their turn key engines with the Redline system. They may provide just the pulley, bracket, and sensor.

I now have a stainless steel bracket with 2-wire sensor available to go with my trigger wheels. I've sent a couple of these out already to guys who previously bought just the trigger wheels.
