Hello all,
I'm kinda new to the STF and I have a queston for the teeners. I was 914 nut a long time ago and have a side shifter on the shelf. I am doing a Baja/EJ22 build now and was going to incorporate it (flip ring gear, etc..) but the conversion perverts just about have me talked into the Suby box. My question is: Where do I put the 914 ss up for sale (no 914 classifieds)? And what is it worth these days?
I have a feeling we're not supposed to be selling/buying in this fourm. Maybe I'm wrong.
Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Delima
I would advertise it @ www.914world.com in their classifieds section.
Be aware though that unless you have documentation that proves it's rebuilt, they ALL are considered cores that are in need of rebuilding and typically fetch around $200-$300 at best since they are expensive to go through.

I agree.
On this board most of the potential buyers would be for swaps into a T1/buggy.
I have personally never paid more than $250 for a used trans, VW or Porsche 914, and that seems about typical.
You might get a little more on one of the 914-specific sites.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
