type 3 hood hinge help
My dad just picked up this 70 squareback and were trying to get the hood to stay open, does anyone know how to get it to work or can some post pictures of their setup? I'm tryin to post pictures but mine are to big. I'll keep trying to show you how my setup looks

Most older Porsche 911's had broom handles cut to length (before they became worth a lot of money...)

Check the spotwelds on the hinges. The hinge may be malfunctioning!

It should have a pair of long springs inside plastic tubes along the sides of the frunk, those are the "openers".

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
