Wow! "Drill metal, plastic, wood, and more". That "metal" had better not be any harder than aluminum. Be wary of those drill bits in steel. They are usually High carbon steel and not High Speed Steel. I've actually turned one from a right hand helix to a left hand in a 3/8" thick chunk of steel.

I'm retired... I'm not in any kind of a hurry so I drill at lower speeds . They look to be at least or better than what you get at the box stores.

I did double check on the box cover and the Devastator is correct, there is no claim to be high speed bits. They are run-of-the-mill Tin coated, box store style drill bits... but there are a bunch of them for that just-in-case broken drill late at night. You break and refill as you break and you won't run out when you need that special size.

They should be fine as long as you obey the speed limits.

I bought some similar over here once and they were actually pretty good, HSS, split point, ground flutes.
They certainly did some milage in the VF4!

honestly, I have been using the same 16 bit assortment of bits I got for 5 bucks at HF or tractor supply maybe 2 years ago. I ONLY use them i na drill press, on the slowest speed with pressure and oil, but have at no point been able to justify buying anything more expensive, except for drilling holes I plan to tap. All that is in mild steel of course, but I can't say the money was not well spent.

I would buy that ssortment in a heart beat, even just for the box sometimes. HF actually has a great assorted crimp connecters bin that as far as I am concerend is a 20 draw organizer for 15 bucks and a free bag of 200 crimp connectors lol.

devestator, I did that once two, I saved it somewhere, thought it was the funniest thing I ahd ever seen. I also have a nut and a bolt with no threads, mfr error. the bolt is obvious, but I spent a loooong time trying to get a bolt started on that damn M3 hex spacer I was going no where fast.

Twice I bought some nuts and bolts from the hardware store that had straight threads without any pitch to them. Took a while to figure out why they wouldn't go together.
When it comes to drill bits, You usually get what you pay for.

If you ever have seen a drawing of many standards the threads are shown as a horizontal line completely across the shank then a thicker line part way across with this being repeated to the taper (easy on). It looks like the mfgr. took the drawing literally ... too funny (I'm still chuckling over this)! The thread pitch is part of the annotations; within a callout, processes or specs. I guess things like that do happen but it is the problem of the store to check their stock as it comes in and before they stock it on the shelves.
