Hi Im new to this site,I hope somebody can help/clarify,I am having major head stud removal issues on a DJ case.
I have removed and drilled out the bottom left cyl#4,I hopefully will be able to instal a time-sert in this(as per old post, thanks).I have two more snapped ones top left and bot right on #3
I have gas welded nuts on the top, but the studs keep snapping.(about 1.5" left now)
Will there be enough clearance on the waterjacket on the #3 top l/h for a time sert?
If I screw up the holes is there clearance for a big-sert.
This is the fourth time I have replaced studs on these engines, albiet the others were DG cases guess, I have been lucky in the past.

If the case is a 1.9 block 025 101 101 & 102 with NO letter after the numbers, they are a Bitch soak them with Kroil over night pound on the end of the stud and get out the torch heat up and down at the stud area. I have had to cut them off at the bottom carbide end mill them out and re-insert them. Yes I have a special long carbide end mill and all the tooling to do them. Rocky

Rocky Thanks for the quick reply
I forgot to say i am in U.K..Its a 025 101 101B
If I was in the U.S.,I would be sending it to you to fix.
I have been soaking in mouse milk(from the U.S.) and alternating heat/heavy hammer
Im getting some kroil delivered tomorrow.
If I ever get them out,Ive got a few more simple questions, nothing fancy, as I only want to build it back to stock.

I guess I'm the "lucky" one...i have the 1.9 case, pre 85 with 025 101 102 stamped on it, and i just cant remove any of the studs...i have to find something like Kroil here in Slovenia...
