De-Chroming Convert Window Frames

I am trying to remove ALL chrome from my 79 Beetle Convert as possible. Any solutions to the window frame chrome pieces? What is the best way to de-chrome these parts?

I am in the process of media blasting mine and painting them.

Glass bead blast, clean, etch primer, paint.

Or simply scuff with a scotch bright pad then paint for a quick job.
