You can actually get flat head 8mm machine screws with either a #4 phillips or a hex, and use a countersink.
MAY be thick enough to do as you have in mind tho.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

that sounds better as it means i won't have to go chopping off the top of the stud. I'll see if i can get hold of a set of spacesavers first as i need a new set of manifolds anyway.

Re: VFR 800 TBI linkage?
right havent done much recently, waiting for fund to start on the fuel system, which will be going in the spare wheel well. I'm thinking of running a feeder pump, probably using a facet red top or similar, into a swirl pot, then into a filter and into an injection pump, probably a da-25 or walbro then into a finer filter and into the regulator. Then the line will go under the car, I'll use solid aluminium line for this, where it enters the engine compartment i'll split the line using a t or y piece and take one to each fuel rail. I may link the other sides of the rails or just block them off.
i know some people don't like the idea of leaving the regulator so far back but i think it should be fine and give a smoother pressure.
Also i am aware its probably all over speced but i'd rather not have to redo it all if i go bigger or when the turbo goes on.
Also i am looking to mod a powerspark ignition module to use it as a cam sensor. It's basically acheived by getting rid of 3 magnets on the band that goes on the dizzy shaft. This then only gives a signal when the engines firing on first cylinder. I will also have to lock out the advance and set it to 0 btdc.
thats it for now
