Anyone thought of using angle flow heads?
Just curious to know if anyone has thought of using angle flow heads in an oxy conversion???

Mark Herbert was working on doing it 11 years ago. The 4" angle flow pattern isn't the same as 4" wasser/autocraft. He bought heads undrilled and modded to fit.

Yes, I believe his brother Mike is working on an oxy. I talked to him in June and think he was leaning toward a JPM head though. I think for the money the angle flow would be a good compromise. I'm just concerned that the ability to live on the street would be the issue.

Unless you have a lead on a set of heads that are finished -which happen to be significantly cheaper than JPM's- I don't believe you are accounting for all the costs required to set up a set of AngleFlows. They are sold bare; no seats, guides, valves or springs. The intake ports, as cast in the most recent production run, are absolutely massive.ecksrash wrote: I think for the money the angle flow would be a good compromise.
