this was my local Volvo/Benz mechanic. I'm sure they can answer.

All done, not really happy with the pedal feel after a good bleed, suspect it's a combination of a 16mm master cylinder, 3X the rubber brake hose and somewhat flexi floating calipers out back.
Cleaned up welds and secured the hoses/cables post picture.
The "16" on the side of the master surprised me, I'll be putting a std 19mm on.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Those Audi rear calipers look suspiciously similar to the calipers that all the aftermarket rear disc kits come with. . .

Stupid Mityvac trick to the rescue:
Cut one of the old steel lines, hooked up to the mityvac to it, removed rear bleeders (10x1) connected the brake line and sucked on that with the mityvac, since it was sealed properly I was able to get a good draw/flow on the circuit, and sucked a ton of air out... apparently that high spot in the rubber line really likes to trap air.
The mityvac will suck air through the threads of the bleeder used the "normal" way.
Works good now.
