I may be swapping my type1 engine in my bus with a bigger one....I was wondering if there are people who would be interested in purchasing my spare engine...its a new 1600 single port...brand new 30 pict carb....009 disrtibutor..brand new bosch 75 amp alternator..degree pulley..upgraded cam...brand new 4-1 extractor exhaust...about 3000 miles on it total!
Its pretty much a stock 1600 with a few mods....I would sell it as a complete turn-key. Just slap it in and drive away..
I was wondering what one would pay for an engine like this? please let me know if anyone is interested...I need to know before I purchase a new one.

I'd think it depends on where you are located I sell lots of used engines , junker/wreck take outs mostly with the odd single port I get as twin port tradin . I get $350.00 each , tuned and ready to go . most folks sell for $150.00~$350.00 , depending on condition and cosmetics.
I have a brand new Mexican twinport 1600 I paid (ouch) $1,200.00 for ,plus I dressed it with just so sheet metal etc. about $800.00 more ~ it's only worth $350.00 in resale , as I'm thinking of selling the vehicle it's in what to do ?.
