It looks like a Safare, I don't think it is an Adventurewagen.

Is it "factory original"? - No

Did some guy glue a boat on top of his bus? - No

Safare and Adventurer were two US manufacturers who converted type2's to high-roof campers. They are not common, but unfortunately they aren't exceptionally valuable either. A guy in Arizona had a pristine '73 Adventurer high-roof for sale last year for $6,000.

Seems like a bucket of trouble, even at $200. By the time you get engine and tranny, fix up rust ...

Find a good one that's complete and running, that's a cheaper way to go in the long run.
