3 levers

i have a 73 bus with three levers. when i move one up i get fresh air and when i move the other 2 nothing happens, i looked under the dash and the wire is bent, now im wondering does it reallly matter or do they actually work and i should fix the problem?

What colors are they? You should have two red (heat) and two blue (fresh air). Sounds like a couple aren't connected. The red pair go to the heat exchanger valves and the blues open the fresh air inlet flaps in the front grill.

do i need the two heat ones? or does a bus through enough heat?
