Hi Guys,
Just built my first Type 4 engine (with upright cooling for a bug) - any tips on where to mount a temp sender on the engine?
Cheers, Mike

Cool - thanks - that looks like a good option . I was also looking at cylinder head temp senders, but they tend to be expensive and i'm not sure how reliable they are or how well they actually fit round the plug!
That inspection plate will give me a rough reading
Thanks, Mike

Search for CHT or cylinder head temperature thermocouple probes lots to learn. I run a dakota digital CHT and also a separate second thermocouple as an input to my ECU.
