Re: 1600 Baja Turbo/EFI
Looking good, I am sure your fab skills will improve, glad to see you started a build thread. We have all learned and improved our skills along the way.

Looks like fun! Would love to see what you come up with as far as the compound thing goes. I still need to finish mine up one of these days.

Re: 1600 Baja Turbo/EFI
I’m gonna need another turbo to run a compound set up, the smaller turbo I have is limited to 14psi. But yeah I’m heading that way some day.
I’m also debating water/methanol injection

I would do water/meth for sure on pump gas.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
The more I think about it the more I like it, now I’m just reading up on MS3pro and trying to progressively control it.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
It's what I did. I used a High Speed Valve(hsv), a devils own pump, and devils own nozzles. I turned the pump on or off with the ecu and fired the hsv like an injector, using an injector channel. I never really used it much though. The system has been in the car for about 7 years. The meth in the tank is probably at least 4 years old. My system just never really needed it.

I’ll have to look into the high speed valve. According to the manual it can be set a few ways as a water injection specific output. I’m also thinking about trying it progressively running it off the nitrous settings maybe.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
Anyone have any tricks for running a fuel line through the tunnel?
Thanks

Seems like everything I read either people just jambed it through there, or cut it open from the inside so they could secure it. Then just weld it back shut.

Thanks, not looking to weld that much so... might just force it through.

I ran mine through the tunnel...there are some pics somewhere in my build. Probably page 43 plus or minus.
I drilled through the right side opposite of the clutch/throttle cable. I pushed it through first to get the correct length, then pulled it out and wrapped it with harness wrap. Make it extra long and push it out the front.....put a 90* bend in it and then push it back and drill a hole in the side of the tunnel for it to come out under the tank.

Thanks clone, your memory is spot on it was page 43.
I need to familiarize my self with the underside of a VW pan better!?! I looked at the frame horn tonight and think it’s doable to sneak the line out the passenger side. Not sure I’m grasping where your exits at the rear.
Though I suspect someone ran a new line in this pan already as my supply line runs in on the passenger side, but it’s all metal so I’ll use it as a return. Saves me from running 2 lines.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja (renamed to eliminate confusion)
I had the buggy body off when I installed the fuel line.
It kind of mirror images the throttle /clutch cable area but on the right side of the pan.
It would be hard to get to with a bug if the trans and engine are installed.
