One reason two handle turning brakes are so handy... a little bit of pressure to both handles locks the diff so both wheels drive. Also a bit softer suspension might be in order but then I don't ride in mammoth boulder trails anymore .

I forgot to add that some of the two wheel trucks when going off-road, or so I have been told, and use light pressure on the foot brake to lock the two axles together through the diff. Never tried it myself... I use the handles as my feet are often busy running around over the pedals.

That's what I do, and rock slightly between them so that the intertia of the wheels are helping as it the drive changes side to side (otherwise you just get to a steady state with no benefit) - I actually have the brakes hooked up to paddles behind the steering wheel now for applying light pressure on the spinning wheel quickly.Ol'fogasaurus wrote: βWed May 01, 2019 9:56 am One reason two handle turning brakes are so handy... a little bit of pressure to both handles locks the diff so both wheels drive.
Although that just looked like it wanted about half as much air in the rear tyres.

Thatβs also why I like the taller and bigger tires, helps to roll over the cracks and smaller ruts.
