Does anyone have the dimensions of the dash panels?
If one wanted to make a skin for the gauge section of the dash.
Thanks

Yes.
If you wouldn’t mind! I’m looking to cut some AL to fit new gauges.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
I haven’t made any changes to the Baja other then upping duty cycle percentage so I’m running around 22psi on high boost.
I have been swamped with the holidays, my wife and I are expecting our second kid any day now and we are in the middle of a bathroom and bed room renovation. With all of that said it’s been a struggle to get any seconds free.
Got a few new tools that are waiting to get played with though....
Super excited to start working on TIG welding. But the above mentioned things means it’s still in the box.
I also scored a TD04-9b that I am working on getting flanges made up for. That along with maybe the Holset I have will become the sequential turbo set up on a 1600 with the 9b high pressure I’m hoping to see boost early and push up to 40psi
And to monitor all that who wants to take a laptop when you can have a touch screen in the dash!?!
That project is together just need to boot it on an external screen and load TunerStudio.
I may get it done or baby girl number two may have other plans. We will see.

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
Does anyone know what it takes to make a duplicate project on another PC?
I have my pi Dash working but want to get my project over to it.
Is it just moving the tune over or importing the entire project file ?
Thanks

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
Just copy the project folder to the TS directory on the PI Drive.

Thanks clone!
Also not about anything VW but an impressive turbo set up.

Dang!
Don't think what your doing isn't impressive too. Remember at around 28-30 psi, that should be around 250hp. Multiply that by 5 (the viper is an 8 liter, so 1.6 liter x 5 is 8 liter) and you get 1250hp! Out of a stock engine designed in 1938! Not bad huh?!

Turbo/EFI Baja
I’m more amazed by the viciousness of the pull.
Though I am amazed by the stoutness of a stock VW engine.

I agree completely! I drove the bug to work this morning. Almost no traffic at 6am around here. The pull is insane! And I wasn't even really leaning on it!
And I was just thinking this morning that I can't believe what this thing can take. Over and over and over. I'm not very nice to it!

Re: Turbo/EFI Baja
So a quick little update.
The wife and I had a baby girl on the fourth of February so adjusting to life with a newborn and a toddler leaves me with minimal free time.
Though I did get to weigh the Baja at work.
I used a scale and did each wheel independently, it cane out to 1800lbs. I thought it would be lighter.
Also took a buddy for a ride and started to feel the strange surge/slip feeling in third. I think it is either spark blow out or it’s the valves being overcome by boost. Either way it’s nice to have an outside opinion and realize it’s not my clutch slipping.
