Gps would be nice to have. I really never paid attention to my mileage.

I kind of use it for gas mileage. Really I just know that I have 3300 miles that I have been running EFI. That’s all.

Had some super bad dry rot and broken belts on all my tires. I got new fronts and rear tires mounted and balanced today. Happy to say it drives like a new car!

Strange how 25 year old tires harden up!?

I guess you got the goodie out of them. I thought I was doing pretty good when I replaced my 13 year old tires!

They where made in at least 1995 maybe before.

Never had grip issues and I have known I was going to have to buy new.

Remember that the materials in tires age even if they don't look like it. Be careful!

Got new tires on they make a world of difference.

I’m having an oil leak issue that appears to be at either the pushrod tubes or cylinder bases, I know this isn’t turbo related but anyone have any common leak areas around there? I can’t seem to pin point it.

Leaks about a half dollar sized stain or so.

Thanks

My cylinders are leaking for sure. I have 2 shims on mine also, so I'm not real sure where its coming from either. I'm pulling mine down to the short block Saturday to see what i can see.
I had to jack mine up, clean it all up with brake cleaner, then run it again to see where it was coming from.

I guess my confusion is that it seemed to show up out for no real reason. I’m thinking this weekend I’ll torque the heads as I haven’t ever on this engine so maybe a worth while check.

Took the Baja on the first real highway trial!

Ended up with about a 30 mile run for work.

I have some things to look at, my Intercooler mount allowed a bit more movement then I’m comfortable with so need to shore that up.

Also the car kinda gets vibrations that I’m not 100% sure where they are caused by though not undrivable. 58 seems like a happy spot over 68 seemed un comfortable ( maybe I just was)

Last thing was my window when down shakes in the frame knocks and is super annoying. So need to get that fixed.

All in all I couldn’t be happier with this thing.

Can't beat that. There is always something little to piddle with though. Which is ok!
