May I ask you where you based the timing tabel on?

Thanks en enjoy!

Mark,
Thanks for reading through, hopefully between putting together links to all the other great threads and documenting some of the less discussed issues it will help others down the road with this conversion.

Fuel and Spark tables are roughly based on stock D-jet, at least according to someone on here (did that search a while ago, so I don't remember who/what thread) and I figured it would be at least close enough to get me started.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around converting the vacuum advance into how it plays on a MAP table, I believe it's only in play just off idle/low throttle situations, but that has been a bit of a challenge for me. All of it definitely needs a fair bit of dialing in, but I want to make sure everything is sealed before I do too much tuning if I have a vacuum leak in the intake somewhere. Going to get new injector o-rings, and new intake to head gaskets (have a big stack of old NOS spacers so the gaskets on the pair I used probably were old and didn't seal great) and see where that gets me.

However any input will be gladly accepted, I am far from proficient at tuning.

Man, I love this build/thread..

Hoping to see more details! 8-)

Maybe you can get your idle down by pulling some spark advance?

I'm sure you know this already. But a can of starter fluid will show you if you have any leaks.

I will definitely get a bunch more detailed photos showing how everything fits together, hopefully this weekend. Hadn't thought of pulling spark advance at idle, I'll give that a shot.

In the past I've never had luck with that, though D-jet can be notoriously difficult to track leaks down on. Might be a little easier since I don't have all those vacuum lines going every which way like the stock motor did. I'll try that as well this weekend.

Okay a bit late but as promised a couple of photos. You can see where I tucked the coils out of the way. Also waiting on a proper air filter to ship so hopefully have that soon.

I think I got all my vacuum leaks sorted but having a heck of a time getting it to come back to idle without dying. It idles around 900-1000 usually once I keep it alive but I have to feather the throttle or it'll die when I come to a stop sign or whatnot.

I also need to re-weld my mangled Monza exhaust, getting some air leakage there, and then I need to recalibrate my O2 and I can start tuning.

THE STARTING FLUID IS RATHER DANGEROUS! IT IS BETTER TO USE AN UNLIT PROPANE TORCH WITH JUST A CRACK OF THE VALVE TO FIND LEAKS...
