No still not sure on the bearing wear , I've fitted KS bearing that are coated and have increased the oil viscosity from 10W50 to 15W60 to increase film strength . So only time will tell when I pull in down for an inspection in a few years .
Looking on line at the similar wear patterns on BMW E46 M3 engines . BMW recommended increasing viscosity so thats the reason I've gone that way .
I just have to be careful not to rev too much till I get the oil up to temperature .
