Method I used to fog beetle tunnel with WD40

Post by theKbStockpiler »

I'm getting ready to get my 1302 project off of the back burner soon and have the pan and shell outside covered with tarps. Every year of so I respray the entire car with spray oil and replace the tarps. I think this is the 3rd year of this. Mostly I use aerosol cans and connect the red spray straws together to get in deep or bend the end one to reach around to the back of what I'm spraying. I always wanted to try to protect the inside of the tunnel but never got around to it until today.

I wanted to get something heavier on it so I decided to mix 0-20 with wd40 in reuseable spray can. I think it's called a vaper. That's why I bough it. It works pretty good if you remove the gasket on the nozzle and replace it with a fat o-ring. For this video I used straight wd40 heated by setting the can in hot water. I used a portable air tank for the source and a vulcan spray nozzle which has a nice end on it and not just a cut off tube.

If you look close you will be able to see oil vapor coming out of the shifter and accelerator holes. Use the play botton that is not in the center of the window. Use the one in the bottom left.

Is it going to collect dust and turn it into mud?
