Great, I called them last week about a 69mm counterweighted crank, they had several ready to go. Hope you get something figured out.
Good quality is getting harder and harder to find.

Due to quicker customer service I went with another CB Performance 4140 forged crank. Also, it dawned on me... the issues I've had are due to my own mistakes. If I just keep making the same building and tuning mistakes, more durable parts arent going to save me. I need to make sure to get every detail right. That's the only way it's going to survive.

You are going to want to have the crank and flywheel balanced together anyway. Why not send the rods in to be checked as well. The bottom end assembly is crucial to any build.
Ive only used 3 engine builders over the past 30+ years (some of the best there is) and all 3 of them wouldn't even consider not doing this on every motor.

That's fair. I found another local shop I'm going to try. They say they can balance it without issue on the same machine they use for their water pumpers.

I'm taking my time rebuilding this time so theres no excuse not to have it checked out by a pro.

Its been a long time but as I remember balancing is not only the crank, flywheel and clutch assy but the rod and piston combinations also.

Yeah, but I can do the rods and pistons. Those are balanced statically.

You know but for those who don't know... it is often assumed having been done if the whole package isn't in the parts taken in for balancing. Just covering those who don't think about it.
