brief summary of my next build for after i finish up this baby 1385 im building.
NA 2180cc
82mm crank
92mm toyota 22re ICON forged flat top pistons( super short 29mm cr hreight)
5.4in h beams
cb2242 cam
1.25 rockers
tuned tri y exhaust, forgot what the calculated size should be
45mm duels with customs manifolds for port EFI + crank trigger
balanced rotating assembly, internally balanced.
12.7lbs forged dpr flywheel.
at least 10-1 CR
yall get the idea by now. aiming for at least 160whp. daily driver for the street. maybe meth injection later on.
CB's flow charts and port volumes wont load in my browser for a few reasons plus they were confusing any how.
So the panchito has 40x37mm valves i think. high port velocity with small port volumes. (im refering to the 61mm cnc chamber version)
And then we have cb wedges and mini wedges. obviously i wont need a huge I/E ratio. Im leaning towards the mini's but dont really know why other than i dont want to go too large on the heads. plus, the cam isnt huge as well.
So, what heads will work best with my build, and what valve size?
Many thanks
Aiden

Re: panchitos, wedges, or mini's
Have you talked to Pat at CB? I think that they like to push the Panchitos pretty aggressively for responsive street builds. Supposedly a really good head, as cast. I'm sure their CNC lineup can outperform the Panchitos, so it comes down to how much you want to pay for a set of heads. Panchitos get great feedback, but they arent a ported head. They are a well designed casting that works. But if you want max performance, I'd bet that one of the ported offerings will fit the bill better. That said I have no personal experience with any of those heads.
