If you had a 914 you wanted to modify, put a Subaru trans in that. The conversion from AWD to 2WD will only cost you $2-300. And there'd be plenty of room to put the Subaru 6 speed trans in it.

The CV height on the subaru trans are kinda low, really just due to ring gear size.
...but they'd be weird height on a flipped diff can 090 too...
Might as well do a 3.0R, the engine can be had for about what the adapter setup goes for, and I already figured out the exhaust...
Have long wanted to do a 911 style fan housing with integrated radiators and oil cooler...
....was going to do it on a wbx at one point, but not worth the effort. Will not cut the car for water cooling...

zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
