Fuel pump for draw through + blow through?

So, I would like to turbo my 71 sb with a 1600 dp in thr future. I was looking into doing a blow through setup with thr stock carb but I couldn't really get a clear picture of how it works (if anyone knows how ppl use the stock carbs with stock fuel pumps for blow through pls let me know). But, I was looking into a draw through setup using a cv carb from a harley (there are some cheap ones on ebay). Has anyone done this? Also what about fuel pumps? Can I just run a stock mechanical pump for draw through? I've seen the clonebug used a mechanical one for his blow through and just shimmed it up for more psi. Do I need to do that for draw through?
