Hi all...does anyone know where this Fuhrmann-looking shroud comes from?
Edit: ok, trying this again

Not certain on that one. Maybe one of Bic Green's versions? Ibrahim Kuzu made a more accurate version of the 4-Cam shroud for the Type 1. Cool look albeit pricey; ~$15k. See https://alongcameaspyder.wordpress.com/ ... d-project/. Also, at one time, Jake Raby was working on a similar design. Not sure if he ever progressed it or just scrapped it.

I also found one that isn’t exactly that one, but it is similar in appearance. It is called the ‘ram air’ shroud and is apparently a piece of junk......chrome, thin, flimsy, and without internal ducts.....
I may have read somewhere that Kuzu’s was carbon fiber....

FJ Camper has some excellent threads on centermount fan housings, and Andrig makes a doublesided fan setup that sucks air front and back and moves a lot of air in a std shroud... very light as well. If you are shoving it through a VW motor with little fin area you need a fan designed to deliver more pressure to get more flow. A Furhmann fan flows a lot of air but perhaps not as much pressure as those motors had tons of cooling fin area...
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
