Fuel tank and modification

Post by caxambas »

I need a fuel tank for a 71 ghia. The Rocky Mountain and KG parts and restoration book says the beetle replacement tank will fit with "slight modification of filler neck"
What is the quality of these tanks? What modification?
Anybody know this?

I have a '71 fuel tank that I don't need...

Problem is... I live in Canada...and shipping might be costly.

Shipping would be to 34145 Marco Island FL
Depending on how nice tank is (rust/crud inside not wanted) and your price, it could be a possibility. Let me know

I've got a 74 ghia gas tank that's not rusted. $100 bucks gets it to your door insured for 99.99 thru UPS ground from Chicago. The car was originally from Cali. Let me know. Empified................ Jdirks@budweiser.com

call kgpr and ask what the modification is-- they are happy to find out for you. it may be just making the neck shorter or changing the angle, but it could be more involved.
