I'm a fine art photographer, prepairing for a trip across the US in my 72 Super Beetle. My plan is to document the trip from Washington DC to San Francisco. I'm looking for everyones advise on were to stop. I love cheese american tourist traps (Cadillac Graveyard, Largest Ball of Twine, Giant Dinasaurs, etc.) I also love to photograph VW junkyards and interesting V-Dubs. My goal is to compile a coffee table book, and a website.

Please help me, by passing on your favorite sites to see and places to visit (Diners, Hotels, Camp grounds, urban legends, funny stuff, etc). I will also respect peoples wishes if they don't want the locations to be written.

I have not determined the route I'm going to take, I will let the attractions dictate that for me.

I don't rember the guys name but he has a bazillion VW's in Moab Utah there was a thread about him a while ago.

Are you a AAA member thay can help with the trip planing, basicly telling you about senic routes and free maps.
