On a dual port 1600 that has a slightly hotter cam (110), what should it be timed at; it has a single vac distributor.

I always go 30 on a bus. 32 in a car.
But if it is a pure vacuum dizzy you need to set it at idle along the factory specs for the dizzy.

Is it dual carb? a 110 will never be quite right without them.
My bus has a 110.
