Gusset's look like they will do the job
Even with clutch management it just couldn’t hold the pinion in the case. 8)

New box will be as stout as a T1 box can be

I think it’s a bit scuffed inside. Need to take it apart and grind/buff the housing. Or have PG rebuild it.

Yeah. Bus box or mendeola would be a better choice. But want to stay swingaxle, and have the engine at the same place

Glad to see you updating this thread with the new info. Still gonna run a decklid, or has that been given up on in effort to get that 9 sec slip?

A deck lid will fit, but will probably run without as always. Did the first plenum with trumpets inside today

Does a decklid make a big difference at that speed?

Due to weight or aerodynamically?

My guess is that neither plays a big difference..

Inside the plenum? Yes, the trumpets help with airflow

Well I meant the roundy end caps. Or will they just be flat caps?

Ah, on the back (towards the front of the car, it will be flats, and the fronts will be trimmed for airflow and engine lid closing

As you can see in the photo, the pipe going in to the plenums are not centered...

Next time I will weld the 90 degree onto the plenum and the 3/4 side is almost done. the last stage will be to close the plenums, and will do both sides at the same time.
