Christmas is over, and I am returning to normal routines again, and hope I can get some time to keep this project moving.

Meanwhile a box with four if these, showed up in the mailbox today:


And i have also planned out the intake runner lengths and came up with a lenght of 378mm including the velocity stacks, so next on the list now is to cut the tubes and bends, and weld the intakes up. I will post some pics once I have something to show

So once I dare trying to weld aluminum, I can get on with this part of the build too.

Thank you grelland i finally satisfied myself. The case through bolts do have a recess for washers.

Shameless, shameless, self promotion, but yes I have and ship those injector holders worldwide. The first picture is of the earlier hand made version (the bung is much shorter), the second picture is the CNC ones with the much longer bases.

Wow this thread really died out...

Well, I have not come that much farther in the build, but since the winter is upon us here in Norway, I plan to finalise this build before spring comes.

The plans have changed slightly, but not that much.

The most important change is that I sold my vintage SF heads, and have a set of CB Los Panchitos on its way.

Other than that, I have finalised the GSXR ITB setup, and have used that on my old trusty 1835 this entire summer, and that setup will be bolted directly over to the oxy. That was actually one of the reasons for swapping the heads.

I also had some garage time last weekend, and cleaned up the case a little, and added som plugs in the oil galleries. Here are a few shots of the case as it sits right now:
Then I discovered that one of the lifter bores did not look too good: I got the advice that if the lifters slides easily, I will be fine, so I will have a closer look at it and maybe use a brake cylinder honing tool to freshen the surface. If this does not work out, I always have the option to add liners and use T1 lifters.

I have a couple of questions for you guys.

I plan on using a CB 4-gear dry sump pump, and my plan is to route the oil from the pump to an external filter then into a thermostat that routes the oil either back into the tank or via an external cooler besides the gearbox an back to the tank.

A couple of questions:

What do I do with the filter holder on the case? Is there an adapter of sorts available, that simply routes the oil back into the engine, or will I have to do something else clever?

I see some people add an adapter and a bracket so that they can use a doghouse cooler. With the planned external cooler and the external oil tank, will need the doghouse cooler, or can I get away with the external one only?
