That sucks. what is the afr under boost? Do a compression test to be sure it is not a busted ring or??? Perhaps the turbo? too much oil pressure?

11.8 AFR at 10psi. Oil pressure is perfect. I'm hoping it's the turbo - I noticed it did have a slight amount of shaft play when I was putting everything back together. I've had good luck with the Grant rings and have boosted them to 18psi with 12+ AFR's and that is what I have installed now.

Turbine seal has gone belly up. Car is now an extremely fast James Bond Speedster and I don't even have to hit the smoke screen switch.... It's amazing how fast this thing gets past 100.

Turns out that Shag was able to fix me up with a new turbo that should be here Friday. I'll pass the Turbonetics onto the next person for cheap and let them rebuild it.

New turbo is on and boosting great! Trouble is she still smokes.... :( It won't smoke when its not warmed up but once its nice and warm, it will give a pretty decent smoke screen at WOT. Good news is that I've got a nice Turbonetics turbo that won't go as cheap as it would have last week.

I've got 100 miles on the new rings and don't know what it will take to get them to seat if they are the problem. I'll have to run a compression test next week to see if they are at fault. Also need to adjust the valves.

Not sure what to think right now and wish I had time to look into it but I've got commitments for the next week and won't be able to do anything.

Pull the turbo, install a dummy exhaust, see if it still smokes. If it does, your rings need more time.

Can I just weld up a stinger knock-off with a t3 plate on it and run like that or just pull the turbo and let it exhaust into the engine compartment and run with the decklid open?

Sounds like a good idea and is similar to what I did before but leaving the turbo installed left quite a big restriction on the exhaust.

Stinger off the flange FTW  I want to do that just because I sure miss my stinger from back in the day.... Boy they sound awesome on a good running motor.

Mario when you ran the 11:53 @115 was that on pump gas? How much boost?

92 octane at 15psi. Intercooler temp at the end of the track was only 96 degrees. It started at 71 and I had ice in half holding tank. My meth injection never even turned on because my trigger is past 100 degrees manifold temps....

Pulled everything apart again to get alternator rebuilt. This sucks!
