In checking your grounds, you should have no resistance at the ground points on the frame & engine. If you do, that could be the problem. It's still a good idea to go through the system & clean & inspect all of your contacts. Never know, it could be something simple,...
As for the temp sensor, it's a thermo-switch that is normaly grounded to the block until it reaches a set temp & then opens the circut, shutting off the injector signal. The one that stranded me had failed & was shutting off at a VERY low temp.
ok you all might think im an idiot but a while back my bug was doing the same thing with the wanting to startand it sorta would for a couple seconds i tried everything and finally took it to a mechanic he drained the gas tank and there was water in it just thought you might want to check that to be sure
