hahah! i just saw that its from 2003 ...well i dont have aux heat either.. i got the heater boxes.. and figured that they are just too heavey to hang off the heads..i think engineering flaw..
the only way to go is atwood propane furnace...$500 for all the parts with an rv thermostat on the wall...can bump it off yer existing westy propane tank and way safer...i rebuilt a few gas heaters, and though they work good, the parts are hard to find and , its gotta be somewhere that if its back firing or malfunctioning. you will know, and that aint gonna happen if its in the engine compartment or under the bus..joe

I just read an opinion thread comparing the Espar's to the Propex. UK forum, IIRC.

This guy liked the Propex better. I'm partial to the 2800 series. If I want heat, then I want heat. I'd like to maybe mount it under the Bus. The rear seat is the normal area. Maybe even the engine bay on the left side. I don't have dual batteries. Ideally, I'd like to cut it into the OE ductwork so as to be able to use the dash controls for the location outlet

There is a guy on the Full Moon Bus Club who installed an RV furnace in the jump seat behind the drivers seat.

I'll probably be flamed for this considering this IS my first post but... I'm not impressed with Marty's heater setups. I went to his house a couple weeks ago to purchase one and decided not to. I definitely respect his knowledge of these systems considering how few people work on them but it just wasn't a good deal. My bus originally came with a heater system so already had many of the necessary components. He basically went through my bus and told me every part that I didn't need and that he would not give me with the system, then said that the price was the same. The heater also required significant modification to even mount in my year bus and I would need to fabricate my own exhaust pipe and bracket for it. The heater didn't even have the shroud over the front and he told me that if I wanted one with it, it would be $100 extra. Not to mention the parts he unscrewed and left me to ride home with them rattling. Basically, if you want a safe heater, he'll give it to you. If you want a complete system I think what he advertises is far from what he provides. He definitely knows these heaters but he is a businessman. I'm not putting him down I just do not see his kits as being complete, at least in my case.
